Registration is open today for those interested in volunteering for the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Swimming and the 2016 Omaha Cup.
Tickets are now on sale to four themed, fan event nights at USA Swimming House, the new social hub for USA Swimming in Omaha. USA Swimming House will be the go to meeting spot for swim fans, friends and corporate clients throughout all eight days of the U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Swimming (June 26-July 3).
Every year, there are several U.S. swimmers who have the meets of their lives to make their first Olympic team. This summer in Omaha will most likely be no exception. An unprecedented demand for tickets has resulted in the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Swimming being sold out for the first seven days of competition. Fewer than 600 tickets remain for the Trials’ last session on July 3, where the final members of the U.S. Olympic Team will qualify. Also, fans will be treated to special performances from ”O” by Cirque du Soleil, the aquatic masterpiece seen in Las Vegas.
The Omaha (Nebraska) Sports Commission hired Wes Hall last November as chief operating officer. Along with his new title, he is also a freshly minted holder of an MBA.
