The Omaha Sports Commission (OSC) has promoted Chief Operating Officer Wesley Hall to President/Chief Executive Officer. Hall replaces Harold Cliff, who resignd from the organization at the end of August.
Nebraska MultiSport Complex (NMSC), a nonprofit, championship athletic park scheduled to open in late 2018, today announced the appointment of Harold Cliff as President. Cliff assumed the position on September 1, 2016.
The final numbers have been calculated, and the total economic impact of the 2016 U.S. Olympic Swim Trials event in Omaha is more than $74 million. In addition, Omaha continues to gain international exposure during the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
Omaha, a city very familiar with hosting Olympic Trials, has been selected as the site for the 2018 U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Curling. The Trials will take place Nov. 12-19, 2017, at Baxter Arena.
The USA Triathlon Age Group National Championships are coming to Omaha next month and we need YOU! We anticipate 15,000 people, including 6,500 triathletes will visit during race week. The event will be held in Levi Carter Park and volunteers are needed Wednesday, August 10 – Sunday, August 14.
Omaha will host to the 2018 U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Curling, November 12-19, 2017 at Baxter Arena. This event will be the qualifier for the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in PyeongChang, South Korea.
Nebraska’s best high school wrestlers will compete for individual and team crowns, during the 2017 NSAA Wrestling Championship. Wrestlers take the mats February 16-18 at CenturyLink Center Omaha.
Omaha will host the joint Longines FEI World Cup Jumping and FEI World Cup Dressage Finals, March 27 – April 2, 2017 at CenturyLink Center.
