OSC Board Member Represents Omaha as an ESPN Broadcaster for CWS


We just had our first home run of the 2015 College World Series. Kyle Peterson rounded the bases on Wednesday. As guest speaker at an Omaha Press Club lunch, he delivered a CWS primer full of insight, information and stories. He knocked this one out, and there was no doubt that he would.

USA Volleyball officials see Omaha tournament as launching pad


Events like the World Grand Prix Finals regularly have been held outside of North America, and largely been successful in places where women’s volleyball is more popular. But USA Volleyball CEO Doug Beal said to further grow the sport, its international governing body knows it needs to have “a significant foothold in the United States.” “It’s a fairly self-evident conclusion,” Beal said. “But how to do it is the challenge.”
